Natalya Myrna, a student of Metinvest Polytechnic, talks about her motivation in education and impressions of the educational process, the choice of future - mechatronics, and the experience of participating in a scientific conference with her own project.

- How did you learn about the university and what motivated you to enter?

- I learned about the first intake of students to the new technical university "Metinvest Polytechnic" from photos on the Internet. I've just decided to continue my studies and get new modern knowledge. I was very interested in the conditions for Metinvest Group employees, as well as the large selection of educational programs. I already have diplomas - a master's degree in marketing and a specialist in accounting and auditing. Learning is essential to me; it gives me confidence and improves my professionalism.

- You study industrial engineering in the educational program "Computer Design of Mechatronic Systems." What influenced your decision?

- When choosing an educational program, I first chose the one that is the most interesting and promising for me. I believe that "Mechatronics" is our future, and the profession of a mechatronics engineer is one of the brightest in robotics, as it covers two areas of development - automation of mechanisms and programming of devices. I am committed to constant development in my life, so my choice was like this.

– What do you think about an online-learning process? Is there something missing? What do you like the most?

- Learning is exciting: there are many materials, and it is convenient that the records of all lectures and classes can always be reviewed. Despite the difficult situation with the power supply, I believe that we managed. It is difficult to complete tasks after work and without light. It is not easy, but successful people never look for easy ways. Education is about the future, about new knowledge, so all efforts are worth it!

- Do you have favourite discipline?

- I cannot single out just one discipline because everything offered by the educational program (from business English, robotics, and manipulators to production analysis) is modern and essential. Each subject at Metinvest Polytechnic is interesting and unique.

- Do you plan to connect your life with the technical field? What prospects do you see?

- Metinvest Group is a powerful modern company that, despite the challenges, continuously develops and takes care of its employees. I am lucky to be a part of the Metinvest family. I will continue to work, develop and grow professionally, mainly since the company provides such opportunities. I dream of a victory for our Ukraine and plenty of valuable innovations.

- You were one of the first students of Metinvest Polytechnic to participate in a scientific conference with your project. Tell us what motivated you?

- At the beginning of last summer, I indicated ideas for improvement in the motivational letter while preparing for entering. Participation in a scientific conference is generally an incredible experience for me. Interesting discussion panels, relevant topics, expert speakers who shared their experience, modern cases and the opportunity to brainstorm. I believe this is how ideas are born; such meetings are motivating. During the event, I presented my improvement project on installing of special additional equipment to reduce environmental emissions. I still have a lot of ideas, and I hope that I will have the opportunity to develop and implement many valuable projects with the team.

- Do you have a life philosophy?

- The best results are achieved with a team.

- The new entrance campaign of 2023 will start soon. What would you advise this year's applicants?

- Self-improvement and professional growth will not be easy. However, everything can be achieved in a team. "Metinvest Polytechnic" Technical University is not only about quality higher education. This is a real team of enthusiasts, experts in their field, who are waiting for you and are ready to share their knowledge and experience.
