For me, February is over now. Because there has been war for a month, and this month consisted of 28 days. So, February. Has ended.
Four weeks. There are no more weekends, and the other days are mixed up. And no, every new day is not Groundhog Day. This is a New Day, when you, your team, your friends, your acquaintances, everyone gets up and continues to fight the enemy. Everyone is on their own front, but with a single purpose. Each new day not only adds fuel to the fire of our desire for and confidence in victory. It also adds lubricant to the giant defence mechanism of the country, there is less and less creaking, less and less ignorance of the what and the how, the gears turn faster, and the speed of each increases, increasing the speed of the adjacent ones. Personal efficiency is increasing, we have hardened, we have learned to do more and do it faster every day. Together. The military and members of the territorial defence forces, volunteers, small and large businesses, NGOs, government agencies, etc.
I have told you what Metinvest did this "February". This is support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the territorial defence forces, this is humanitarian aid and this is "continuing to work". Each of these three pillars contains hundreds of separate initiatives at all levels – from international to local, the here and the now. And behind these are hundreds of thousands of people – our employees, our friends and our partners.
Around 40,000 anti-tank hedgehogs. Tens of thousands of metal spikes, etc. Hundreds of tonnes of sand and gravel, thousands of reinforced concrete blocks. Assistance in setting up protective structures, protection of hospitals and other social infrastructure. Fuel, transport, etc.
Hundreds of tonnes of humanitarian aid collected and delivered. EIghty tonnes of humanitarian aid from Poland are already in Zaporizhia, even more aid is already on the way. Dozens of tonnes collected by the employees themselves, dozens were transferred to us from other cities. Hosting points for refugees and evacuees with warm food and medicines have been set up. The steel and coke makers in Kamianske continue to smelt steel, the miners of Kryvbas continue to extract ore each day, the miners of Pokrovsk - coal. The country's economy is required to live and to work. It's there, and I won't list it all. It continues.
And quite a bit of personal information. Work on the information front) Our communications team is scattered throughout the country. We are close to every event mentioned above)) From the first day we "started" and no longer stop. Thank you, friends) We are in all of the cities. And, even in Mariupol, right now, there are colleagues. There is no means of communication with many, we only learn in fragments what is happening to them. We are horrified to learn about those who died and were wounded (( We are happy to learn about those who are alive). A new day is ahead.
It is already March. Ukrainian Spring) Everything will be Ukraine! P.S. The photo was taken in Mariupol, the strongest city of all. On 16 February, exactly one week before. Memory. We will keep it. The city. We will restore it.
