Northern Iron Ore Enrichment Works's Pellet Shop #2 has started quarterly repairs of the LURGI 552A induration machine.

To ensure stable and trouble-free operation of the equipment, the repairmen plan to repair the mechanical equipment at the pelletising, firing and screening sections, and to inspect the conveyor transport of the entire machine's production line and replace the conveyor belts. The list of works also includes the repair of the steel structures of the induration machine hearth, including the replacement of water cooling elements and partial replacement of damaged lining blocks in the firing zone and cooling zone.

The work is carried out using high quality materials that will reliably protect LURGI 552A steel structures from high temperatures.

"The repair measures will ensure that the machine operates at its design capacity of 460 tonnes of pellets per hour," says Andriy GAVELYA, Deputy Head of Pellet Shop-2 at Northern Iron Ore Enrichment Works. - The repair will reduce energy consumption in the production process, increase the efficiency of the equipment and the level of safety for employees."
