Large-scale repairs of the Continuous Sheet Rolling Mill-1680 and Slabbing-1150 have been completed at Zaporizhstal's hot rolling shop.
The tandem of the shop's main units was shut down for 17 hours for the repair. During this time, specialists of Metinvest Promservice and Hot Rolling Shop performed a considerable amount of work.
In particular, the main works at Continuous Sheet Rolling Mill-1680 included the replacement of spindles of the DUO mill, spindles of stand #9, stand #9 foundation tightening, grinding of knives of end shears, restoration of the coupling of the edger #3, and the replacement of the cradle of the intermediate coiler "Coilbox". Pinch rolls were replaced on coiler No.1, and the conveyor's idle sprocket at section No. 9 was replaced. The coilers were repaired, in particular, by specialists of Metinvest Promservice's Rolling Equipment Repair Shop, the mill was repaired by specialists of Metallurgical Equipment Repair Shop No. 1 and 2, and the conveyor was repaired by specialists of Metallurgical Equipment Repair Shop No.2.
At Slabing 1150, specialists of the Hot Rolling Shop and Metallurgical Equipment Repair Shops No. 1 and 2 successfully replaced the screw pair of the horizontal roll screwdown, repaired the gearbox of the shearer's guide bar drive, repaired the metal structures of the roller table chutes, and repaired the equipment of the soaking pit cranes.

We work in close tandem with the shops' specialists at all stages of repair, and as a result, all works at the mills were completed on time, with high quality, without delay and according to the schedule.
