Metinvest Central GOK has conducted a training workshop dedicated to safe working at height for loading staff.
Around 70 employees have participated in classroom and hands-on training. During the classroom training, specialists discussed the requirements under "Rules of labour protection during work at height", options for performing tasks, use of special equipment and devices, and personnel actions in case of emergencies.
Hands-on training included the honing of skills at the training ground. The participants of the workshop had the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-life situations, which facilitated deeper learning and skill acquisition. The workshop was conducted by Valerii Saveikin, head of Central GOK's HSE department. The training also included the professional guidance – tips on the proper fixing technique and methods, rules for moving and maintaining workstations, and so on.
As a reminder, free training courses for new hires and experienced employees are conducted at Metinvest's Kryvyi Rih companies on a regular basis. In addition, there are programmes in place to learn new professions, including for returning war veterans.
