Youth of Metinvest’s Integrated Iron Ore Held its Annual Summary Conference

A summary conference for youth of Metinvest's mining and processing plants was held in Kryvyi Rih. The events provided platforms for analysing the results of work in 2025, discussing initiatives and forming plans for 2026.

The participants of the conference recalled the initiatives and projects implemented last year. They discussed the importance, significance and areas of work. They outlined what needs to be worked on and what needs to be learned in the near future.

"Last year, we implemented many projects in various areas. Once a month, our young people take part in the Blood Saves Lives initiative – about ten of our donors come to the blood transfusion station. We also help provide firewood for heating to the families of plant's pensioners, eight families last year. We also took part in organising the First Time – First Grade! corporate programme. We continue to help our colleagues in the military: we have made over 350 trench candles for them. We do not forget about vulnerable children – we visit childcare homes and talk to the children there," said Illia SHOSTOV, head of the Iron Ore's Youth Union, summarising the results of the work.

The youth of Integrated Iron Ore also organise and participate in numerous themed and calendar events on important dates. In 2025, team-building events were held for New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day, International Women's Day and Children's Day, Youth Day, and more.

In addition, Central Iron Ore has a permanent hobby club: this space operates based on a youth hub, where employees can play board games, watch football matches or films, play tennis or darts. Traditionally, young employees of Central Iron Ore participate in active sports and leisure activities: six cycling trips along various routes in Kryvyi Rih Region were organised during the year.

Last year, the youth from Metinvest's plants completed a training in tactical medicine, which was developed and conducted by Serhii Fedorchuk, youth union activist and now tactical paramedic in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.  In addition, 150 young employees underwent Team Work training, and young leaders of structural subdivisions studied ways to resolve conflicts.

Last year, young people from Ingulets Iron Ore joined a project to create a New Year's fairy tale in the Palace of Culture. They helped to implement the First Time – First Grade! project. They participated in intellectual quizzes and other activities.

Young activists from Northern Iron Ore also participate in socially important projects: activists from the plant regularly donate blood. Together with their colleagues from Central Iron Ore, the youth of Northern Iron Ore visited the pupils of the Kryvyi Rih Specialised School, a former care home. And fans of outside activities took part in two bike rides last year.

The youth of Northern Iron Ore also participated in city and district events, in particular, Career Fairs career guidance, together with specialists from the personnel recruitment, training and development department. Together with the Youth Council of Ternivskyi District, the youth of Northern Iron Ore took part in a charity Christmas ball.
