As part of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front military initiative, Metinvest has financed the complete technical re-equipment of command post vehicles (CPVs) based on the Kozak armoured vehicle. Equipped with state-of-the-art communication equipment, the vehicles have already been deployed to the most intense sections of the front.
Reliable, seamless, robust communications between units during combat that are protected against enemy interference are of paramount importance and directly impact coordination, tactical advantages, and outcomes.
Five modern mobile command posts have been delivered to communications specialists from a unit of Ukraine's Land Forces. Metinvest, within the framework of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front military initiative, has financed the re-equipment work. This included fitting comfortable workstations for personnel and installing cutting-edge communication equipment, electronic warfare-resistant communication protection systems, autonomous backup power supplies, and other equipment. Metinvest allocated nearly UAH 2 million for these purposes.

The command post vehicles are designed to ensure round-the-clock reliable radio communications and command capabilities within the tactical echelon of the Land Forces under any weather conditions and season, both in movement and when stationary.
Military personnel note that the Kozak was not chosen randomly for conversion into a command post vehicle. The combat vehicle is well-protected by armour, mobile, very spacious and allows for the accommodation of all necessary equipment whilst providing comfortable workstations for personnel.
"The cutting-edge technological systems allow the commander to monitor the battlefield situation in real time, consolidating data from drone reconnaissance and other systems. Objective and comprehensive situational awareness enables the command staff to make rapid decisions aimed at improving unit effectiveness and preserving defenders' lives. We sincerely thank Metinvest and the Steel Front initiative for their assistance in converting the Kozaks into command post vehicles. This will help us destroy the enemy in the fight for Ukraine," noted Dmytro, Deputy Company Commander.

The CPVs have been equipped based on combat experience and the needs of the Ukrainian army, incorporating modern technological solutions that protect the vehicle crew from wartime risks.
"Information is a weapon, especially for an army defending its country from enemy invasion. To ensure this weapon remains accurate and effective, which will assist Ukrainian soldiers to fight efficiently and preserve personnel lives, we have addressed the need for rapid re-equipment of command post vehicles. Modern warfare is primarily a war of cutting-edge technological solutions, so such command complexes are indispensable for our army," remarked Oleksandr MYRONENKO, Chief Operating Officer of Metinvest.
Over three years of the full-scale invasion, Metinvest Group has allocated UAH 9.28 billion to support Ukraine and its citizens, of which UAH 4.9 billion has been for the needs of the Ukrainian army as part of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front military initiative.
