Kryvyi Rih hospital received assistance from Metinvest Group's Consolidated Iron Ore Mining and Processing Plants. The assistance will help the medical institution upgrade the equipment of its surgeries.
Ihor Tonev, General Director of Metinvest's Iron Ore Mining and Processing Plants, recently handed over a certificate for UAH 200,000 to purchase two large surgical kits.
"For almost three years now, our country has been under the pressure of difficult circumstances and challenges. It is difficult for everyone: the military, civilians, economy, industry, educators and, of course, doctors. Today, their mission is more important than ever. They work tirelessly to save the most valuable thing – human lives. To ensure that Kryvyi Rih surgeons are fully focused on treating patients and have everything they need, Metinvest has once again provided the medical institution with the opportunity to upgrade its surgical armaments," said Ihor TONEV, General Director of Metinvest's Iron Ore Mining and Processing Plants.

One of the largest medical institutions in the Dnipropetrovsk region with 860 beds received timely financial support for the purchase of critical equipment for operating theatres. This hospital provides round-the-clock specialised and emergency care to the public in case of injuries, accidents, to patients with exacerbation of chronic diseases and in acute diseases.
"Since the beginning of 2022, the workload of our hospital has increased due to the influx of wounded, as well as the relocation to Kryvyi Rih of residents of the territories of Eastern and Southern Ukraine that are under shelling or occupied. In particular, the need for high-quality surgical care has increased. We are grateful to Metinvest for its concern and responsibility, and the new reliable surgical armaments for our surgeons will help them save the lives of our many patients," said Olena, the hospital's Сhief Medical Officer.
Supporting the medical sector in the cities where Metinvest operates is of great importance to the company. Active and systematic cooperation with Kryvyi Rih in this area began during the coronavirus pandemic and continued during martial law in the country. At Metinvest's initiative as part of the Saving Lives humanitarian project, medicines, consumables and medical equipment totalling over UAH 61 million were delivered to Kryvyi Rih hospitals in the first year of the full-scale war alone. This has significantly expanded the ability to provide timely and high-tech surgical care to civilians and soldiers wounded in action and injured because of military operations by the aggressor country.
