Future foremen and professionals are invited to the Metinvest's Iron Ore Plant

The employees of the Recruitment, Training and Personnel Development Department of the Mining Department, together with the Youth Union, presented Metinvest’s Kryvyi Rih enterprises at a career orientation event held at the Kryvyi Rih Mining and Electromechanical Vocational College. The Open Door Day was attended by students of grades 8–9 from schools in the Pokrovskyi district of Kryvyi Rih.

The need for skilled professionals in technical fields has steadily increased annually, a trend exacerbated by the war that has worsened staffing issues for industrial companies, including Central and Northern Iron Ore. Consequently, representatives of Metinvest's Iron Ore actively conduct career counseling for secondary and vocational school students, arranging and joining activities aimed at drawing youth into the sector.

Selecting the ideal initial employment is undeniably a crucial phase in excelling in a profession. Metinvest's Kryvyi Rih plants have consistently aided aspiring professionals in this journey, fostering ongoing collaboration with local specialized learning establishments.

The representatives of the Recruitment, Training and Personnel Development Department of the Mining Department recently visited the Kryvyi Rih Mining and Electromechanical Lyceum to inform students about professions that are highly sought after by the company's enterprises. They detailed the perks of embarking on a career with Metinvest, the available avenues for career development, and the potential to pursue higher education concurrently with employment at the company. Furthermore, they drew attention to the current educational programs that equip young professionals to deepen their understanding in their field or gain a second or associated qualification.

Specialists presented high school students with videos detailing crucial technological production methods and career paths, alongside conducting educational quizzes offering incentives from Metinvest. The students, in response, showed keen interest in internship possibilities at the factories and the potential for pursuing higher education at Metinvest Polytechnic.  Furthermore, company representatives elaborated on the integration process within the businesses, the mentoring scheme, the initiatives of the youth organization, and the diverse avenues open to young individuals.

"We had several interesting discussions with school students,” stated Nataliia NESHTAK, a Leading Specialist in Recruitment, Training, and Personnel Development at Metinvest’s Iron Ore. “Young people today are very receptive, which made our talks quickly evolve into genuine, spirited dialogues. The students enthusiastically shared their visions for their future careers and enthusiastically engaged with the quiz. We aimed to show them the breadth of opportunities our company provides for succeeding in their chosen professions, emphasizing that success hinges on knowledge, skills, and drive, areas where we offer abundant real prospects.
