The Vadym Novynskyi Foundation has responded to a request by the Zaporizhia city authorities to provide financial assistance for purchasing armoured vests, helmets and first-aid kits for territorial defence forces. The foundation transferred US$500,000 to the account of the charitable organisation created for these purposes, enabling the target of US$1.15 million to be reached.

The funds were used to purchase the following items from established suppliers in Europe: 1,000 armoured vests, 1,000 bulletproof helmets and 1,000 NATO-standard medical kits.

Commenting on the news, Anatoly KURTEV, the secretary of Zaporizhia City Council, said: “Having held many negotiations with different suppliers, we have decided with which international partners we will cooperate. The stage of providing permits and agreeing on contracts and terms of supply is now being completed.”
