It's been two years since the humanitarian sector became a part of the life and work of Metinvest's Kryvyi Rih enterprises. In the warehouses of the mining and processing plants, miners volunteered to pack food parcels that were delivered to the city as part of the Saving Lives humanitarian project. In total, they packed 163,180 packages, which formed a strategic stock in the GOKs' shelters and helped tens of thousands of people in need survive the hardship. The company continues to provide assistance to the least socially protected Ukrainians through Kryvyi Rih.
Another batch of humanitarian aid from Metinvest is currently being distributed to the village councils of Hleyuvatska, Lozuvatska, Novolativska, Shyrokivska, Karpivska, Petrivska and Hrechanopodivska communities. It will be delivered to single mothers and people with disabilities. This time, the country-men received nearly 30,500 cans of meat and 3,800 hygiene kits. People are happy, because the quality of the products is good, and everything in the packages is definitely useful. The residents of Hrechanopodivsk received the most, as this is the first time Metinvest has sent essential goods to this community. Thus, the geography of the aid received from the company through Kryvyi Rih during the full-scale war now includes 15 communities in Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Kherson, and Donetsk regions, as well as communities in Kryvyi Rih and Kamianske.
"We are currently working on the lists of people to whom we will transfer support from Metinvest. The aid package was quite large - 13,000 cans of stewed meet and more than 2,000 hygiene kits. This will be enough for all vulnerable group in the community, retired people and internally displaced people who stay with us. We are grateful to the company for its attention to our needs and indifference," said Anastasia PIZNYAK, deputy head of the Hrechanopodivsk Village Council.
Metinvest works most closely with the communities with which its Kryvyi Rih enterprises have a long history of positive partnerships. Humanitarian aid is regularly delivered to the Lozuvatska, Hleyuvatska, Petrivska, Karpivska and Shyrokivska communities. The support projects are coordinated by NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future" In addition to food and basic necessities, over the past two years, Metinvest has supported repairs to shelters for displaced people, and purchased furniture, textiles and household appliances. The same assistance is provided to sheltered housing for people from other regions located in Kryvyi Rih.
