PJSC "CENTRAL IRON ORE ENRICHMENT WORKS" successfully passed an audit and received a certificate of compliance of its energy management system with the international standard ISO 50001:2018
The certification audit was carried out by experts from Kryvbasstandartmetrologiya, a governmental organisation. During the visit of the committee all structural units of the enterprise were inspected. The experts noted the introduction of modern innovative technologies in the production processes of Central Iron Ore Enrichment Works and the improvement of the enterprise's energy management system, which ensured high energy efficiency and reduced the plant's operating costs.
According to Maxim Strilets, Head of Energy Management Department of PJSC "CENTRAL IRON ORE ENRICHMENT WORKS" all departments of the Central Iron Ore Enrichment Works are working to improve the energy management system and achieve new results in reducing energy consumption in order to increase the energy efficiency of process equipment and reduce the cost of the works production.
As a reminder, Central Iron Ore Enrichment Works significantly saves resources by replacing natural gas with biofuels. The enterprise operates efficiently due to the introduction of a remote control system for filling the concentrate and charge bins at the pelletising plant. The process automation has ensured uninterrupted operation of the equipment during air raid. In order to save electricity, 12-frequency converters have been also installed on the pump drives of the beneficiation plant's process sections. At the recycled water pumping station, the pumps are being systematically replaced with energy-efficient equivalents.
