Metinvest helps to arrange comfortable accommodation for forcibly displaced people

Metinvest Group has delivered another aid package for internally displaced people. This time the Group has supplied 4,000 mattresses, pillows and duvets to the cities of Kamianske and Kryvyi Rih.

Many Ukrainians found themselves on the edge of survival because of the war. Thousands of families fled their homes to escape the military assault or occupation to safer cities and settlements. In particular, they have gone to Kamianske and Kryvyi Rih.

The local authorities provide all types of support for forcibly displaced people. However, municipal resources are limited. It would be difficult to provide everything people need without external aid. This is where Metinvest Group comes to the rescue as a reliable partner. Since the outbreak of the war, the Group has made every effort to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine by arranging supplies of food, basic essentials and medicines. Furthermore, Metinvest is also involved outfitting comfortable temporary accommodation for refugees.

The Group has supplied another batch of bedding to Kryvyi Rih and Kamianske. The accommodation centres for displaced people will receive 4,000 new mattresses, pillows and duvets. That is important aid as the cities are receiving hundreds of people from the areas of armed conflict every day, mostly families with children and elderly people. Since the outbreak of the war, Kamianske has provided shelter to more than 14,000 people and Kryvyi Rih to more than 60,000 people. That is why Metinvest’s support remains vital.

It should be noted that, despite the difficult circumstances, the Group remains a reliable partner of the cities where it operates and works systematically to help the victims of military aggression. Temporary accommodation has been arranged at the Group’s social facilities for employees who have left their homes because of the war. Metinvest also provides food packages and medicines as part of the Saving Lives humanitarian project, which is being implemented jointly with DTEK and in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
