The Day of the Metallurgist and Miner has always been an occasion for great celebration. In the past, this day embodied the strength of Ukrainian industry. Today, it symbolises its resilience. Something without which recovery is impossible.
The mining and metallurgical sector has been, is and will remain the foundation of Ukraine’s economy. It provides work for hundreds of thousands of people. It means salaries, taxes and support for cities.
Metinvest is part of that force. We support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We produce armour, supply gear and procure equipment. Over UAH9 billion – that is our contribution to the defence and support of Ukrainians. But the most important thing is faith. Faith in our people. Faith in our victory.
We keep our word. We care about people. We take responsibility – for families, for communities, for our country.
The stories of families working at our enterprises are inspiring. Parents, children and grandchildren – in the workshop, in the quarry, on their shift. It is thanks to these labour dynasties that we preserve our traditions and build on our achievements. Even amid air raid alerts. Even during war. This is what it means to work the Ukrainian way.
Thank you to each and every one of you. For your endurance. For your love of the work. For holding the line.
