Despite the economic, logistical and energy challenges of operating under martial law, last year Kamet Steel increased its tax accruals compared to 2022 and paid UAH 2 billion 154 million in taxes and fees to budgets of all levels.

Almost UAH 605 million went to the budget of the city of Kamianske. The regional and state budgets received over UAH 1,549 million.

The Kamet Steel's most significant sources for pumping up the budgets of various levels are the unified social tax, which amounted to over UAH 401 million; land tax - over UAH 364.5 million; and personal income tax, which totalled UAH 352.5 million last year.

In addition, in 2023, the state budget received almost UAH 156.5 million in income tax and over UAH 154 million in environmental tax.

Despite the trials and challenges of the wartime, Kamet Steel, along with all Metinvest Group's enterprises, remains a stable producer of steel products important to the country's economy and a responsible taxpayer. In these challenging times, the plant is also a reliable pillar of Kamianske's economy and the largest donor to the city budget. The funds contributed by the enterprise significantly help to maintain the stability of salary payments to employees of the city's public utilities, ensure the operation of hospitals and other city programmes. We are working together for Ukraine and Ukrainians.

In 2023, including associates and joint ventures, Metinvest Group paid UAH 14.6 billion in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine. The rejection of tax benefits due to the company under the law made it possible to allocate additional funds to those areas where it is needed most.
