Today, 13 March, Metinvest Group’s Avdiivka Coke Plant was hit by heavy shelling. Shells struck the first and second coke shops, the tar-processing shop and coal preparation shop #2, as well as a warehouse. No casualties were reported.  

The plant's thermal power plant supplying heat to the town of Avdiivka has stopped.  

Earlier, it was reported that due to active hostilities in Ukraine, Avdiivka Coke Plant had partially suspended its production activities.  

The plant has been subjected to heavy shelling on several occasions since 2014.
