Mykola Khadzhyradov, a maintenance fitter at Metinvest Machinery’s Zaporizhzhia branch, has been awarded Metinvest Group’s highest corporate honour, the Metinvest Gold Star.The award was established by the company in 2014 to recognise employees whose work helps transform the company for the better. Modern healthcare is becoming more accessible even in remote villages. Another renovated outpatient clinic has opened in the Hleiuvatka community. This is an example of a successful partnership between local authorities and Metinvest. The community funded the renovation of the facility, while its partners helped procure modern medical equipment, a lift for patients with limited mobility, and improve the surrounding area with accessibility in mind. NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future" coordinated the project.This is already the fourth family medicine clinic in the Hleiuvatka community to be renovated and equipped through the combined efforts of Metinvest and the local budget. Every dynasty has its origin. The Fiedusov dynasty dates back to 1966, when 17-year-old Viktor Ihnatchenko joined the newly established Inhulets Iron Ore as a driver. His choice laid the foundation for the story of a family that has since become one of the largest and most active labour dynasties at the enterprise. This year, they were awarded Metinvest's "Steel Dynasty of Miners" title.The Fiedusov family includes 18 people with a combined 363 years of work experience. The foundations of the dynasty were laid by Viktor and Liudmyla Ihnatchenko. He was a driver at the process road transport shop, while she worked as a dispatcher for nearly 40 years.Today, the dynasty is led by their daughter, Viktoriia Fiedusova. She has been working for more than 30 years at Inhulets Iron Ore and she has mentored five employees. On 21 July, the History Museum of Kyiv presented a book titled Kateryna Savenko's Diary, a personal account on the first weeks of the Russian siege of Mariupol. The publication was released with the support of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and Metinvest Group. Forty-two-year-old Kateryna Savenko worked at Ilyich Iron and Steel Works. She made her first diary entry on 24 February 2022. The two notebooks contain 34 entries about the lives of her family and neighbours, shelling, the search for food and water, nights spent in the basement, the destruction of the city, and memories of peaceful Mariupol. On 29 March, Kateryna's husband, Vitalii, was killed during shelling, and Kateryna herself was severely injured. She died on 4 April. Before she passed away, Kateryna asked her sister to find her diary and tell the entire world what happened to Mariupol, while asking her daughter to preserve the diary.The family found the two notebooks and took them out of the occupied city. On the occasion of the Day of Workers of the Steel Making and Mining Industry of Ukraine, Metinvest's enterprises in Zaporizhzhia traditionally invited retired employees to a celebratory gathering to thank them for their many years of dedicated work, commitment to their life's vocation, and continued involvement in the activities of the enterprise even after retirement.
