Metinvest CFO Yuliia Dankova: Big Business Must Be Security Policy Priority

In an interview with Delo.ua, Yuliia Dankova, chief financial officer of Metinvest Group, spoke about how large companies maintain financial resilience in times of crisis, why tariff predictability matters more than incentives, and how to restore the balance between the state and business.– Over the first nine months of 2025, tax revenues in Ukraine increased by almost a quarter. How does the current trend in budget revenues correlate with the financial performance dynamics of large businesses? Has the tax burden on Metinvest increased this year?– The dynamics of the Group’s financial indicators are certainly not positive. This is primarily due to the shutdown of production facilities in Pokrovsk, which took place at the beginning of this year. The increase in tax revenues is not related to large businesses finding it easier to operate, nor is it driven by economic growth. While I cannot speak for everyone, in our case, tax revenues are increasing due to legislative changes adopted at

Congratulations from Rinat Akhmetov on the 25th anniversary of SCM

Dear colleagues and friends,Today we celebrate the 25th anniversary of SCM. Twenty-five years of an incredible journey – of growth, development and success. A quarter of a century in which, together, we have built a company that has become a pillar of Ukraine and a model of responsible, sustainable business. SCM was founded shortly after Ukraine regained its independence. We have grown alongside our country. We have faced many trials – crises, transformations, a pandemic – and for almost half of our history SCM has operated in the midst of a brutal war that began in our native Donbas. Over these years, we have lost much. We have lost homes and enterprises, and – most painfully – our loved ones and colleagues. Yet we have never given up, nor have we lost what matters most: our faith and our determination to work effectively, to help, to rebuild and to defend our shared values. We have stayed wherever our support was needed. And today, while the war continues, it is especially important

Hot metal is the first: the blast furnace shop, where the history of Zaporizhstal began, celebrates its 92nd anniversary

Nine decades after the first blast furnaces began operating in Zaporizhzhia, the fire here never goes out. It lives on in the hearts of the people who come to work every day.The shift of Zaporizhstal's ironmakers has been going on for 92 years, and during this time, the plant's blast furnaces have witnessed many important events. During the full-scale invasion, for the second time in the history of the plant, the ironmakers had to shut down the furnaces, and in just 33 days, they resumed operation. Today, metallurgists are working in equally difficult conditions."Typical problems today include a shortage of raw materials, when we have to work on a just-in-time basis, interruptions and instability in the country's energy sector, hostile shelling, and a shortage of personnel. It is extremely difficult to work in such conditions, because our efficiency depends on the consistency and stability of the technological process. Of course, all these difficulties affect people's moral order. But
