The Saving Lives project donated nearly 20,000 food and hygiene kits to utility companies in Zaporizhzhia

During May, as part of the Saving Lives project, founded by Metinvest in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, the employees of 30 utility companies in Zaporizhzhia, involved in the elimination of the consequences of enemy attacks of the city and suburbs, received humanitarian aid. In total - about 20 thousand humanitarian food and hygiene kits.

As usual, the food packages included cereals and canned food, tea, and cookies. The hygiene kits included shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc. This is not the first time Metinvest has provided the city's utility companies with such aid. It is worth reminding that approximately 11 thousand food packages were received by the employees of utility companies in February.

"A new large-scale batch of humanitarian aid - almost 20,000 kits - has been delivered from Zaporizhzhia hub of Metinvest to the utility companies of the city. These kits will be given to the employees of the city services and their families as a sign of our support and gratitude for their daily work for the benefit of Zaporizhzhia. Our utility companies always feel the support of Zaporizhstal and Metinvest. Many times, we have handed over to them both humanitarian kits and protective gear, power equipment, helped with equipment to eliminate the consequences of blockages. Such support during the war is very important - it helps all of us to better cope with the challenges of the time and work hard, bringing the victory of Ukraine closer", - said Natalia Gaidukova, head of the regional centre of the Metinvest Humanitarian Headquarters in Zaporizhzhia.

The employees of the enterprises say that in difficult war times this support is very important, and the attention and gratitude for their work motivates them to work even better, helping the residents of Zaporizhzhia to overcome difficult times together and bring victory closer together.

In more than a year of a full-scale war, the Saving Lives humanitarian project, founded by Metinvest Group in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, has turned into one of the largest charitable initiatives in Ukraine. So far, it has provided support to almost 500 thousand Ukrainians in 70 territorial communities. First of all, this is the provision of vulnerable categories of Ukrainians with food, personal hygiene products and essentials.

By the way, utility companies receive from Metinvest not only humanitarian aid, but also means of protection. Thus, 99 modern body armoured vests were handed over by Zaporizhstal to Zaporizhzhia communities for utility companies that support the work of life sectors in the towns of the region.
