Another meeting of the "Speak Up. Veteran" project took place in Zaporizhzhia, focusing on support for Defenders and new opportunities available to them.

The 14th meeting organised as part of the "Speak Up. Veteran" project was held in Zaporizhzhia. The initiative is implemented by the NGO "Zaporizhzhia. Platform for Joint Action" with the support of Metinvest Group. As usual, the event brought together veterans, their family members, representatives of civil society organisations, and professionals working with the veteran community.

During the meeting, participants discussed issues that veterans most frequently face when returning to civilian life, shared their experiences, and identified topics requiring further attention.

Particular attention was paid to the Veteran Help information resource, which helps veterans and their families quickly find information about available services and support programmes. 

"Veteran Help is an information platform designed to enable veterans and their family members to quickly access up-to-date information about services, support programmes, and opportunities available in their region. At present, the platform features offers from more than 80 government institutions, public organisations, and socially responsible businesses across Zaporizhzhia region," said Dmytro KHALILOV, Director of the NGO "Zaporizhzhia. Platform for Joint Action".

Participants were also reminded about the services available at the "Veteran PRO. Zaporizhzhia" hub, a dedicated veteran support space where defenders and their loved ones can receive consultations, information support, and assistance on various matters. 

Following the official part of the event, communication continued in a cosy atmosphere. This time, veterans had the opportunity to play football video games on PlayStation consoles, creating another opportunity to meet new people, exchange experiences, and enjoy friendly interaction. 

According to the organisers, the "Speak Up. Veteran" project will continue bringing together the veteran community of Zaporizhzhia by providing a space for open dialogue, mutual support, and discussion of current issues. Preparations for future meetings are already under way.
