Education Working for the Future: Metinvest Polytechnic Hosts Open Day 2.0 for Prospective Students in Zaporizhzhia

Metinvest Polytechnic's Open Day 2.0 was held at the Unbreakable Hub in Zaporizhzhia – an event designed for those seeking not just a diploma, but a genuine platform for professional growth. Over 120 high school graduates discovered how education can immediately provide access to real production environments, international internships, and bonus support from Metinvest at the start of their careers.

The university teachers presented 19 bachelor's and 20 master's programmes focusing on engineering, automation, digital solutions, ecology, management, occupational safety, and sustainable industry. Ukraine's first private steel and mining university combined European educational standards with the practical needs of modern industry: every student works with real production cases and gains hands-on experience from their first year of study.

Vadym PUKHALSKYI, Head of Development Department at Metinvest Polytechnic, highlighted the following during the discussion with students:

"Engineering education is not just a trend today; it is the future of our country. We have the opportunity not merely to restore, but to create a new, stronger industry built on innovation and modern technologies. At Metinvest Polytechnic, we provide students with practical knowledge and opportunities that become real tickets to future careers – here in Ukraine, right now."

The university's educational process combines online lectures with in-person practical workshops. Students have flexible schedule that allows them to balance education with work. All educational programs are licensed by Ukraine's Ministry of Education and Science. Top-performing students have opportunities for international internships and participation in research projects at modern laboratory and production facilities, both in Ukraine and abroad.

Career development is supported not only through quality education but also through real bonuses at the start. For those who choose Metinvest enterprises as their first workplace, the "First Job" incentive program provides adaptation training, mentorship support, and a bonus of UAH 50,000 in addition to salary and premiums during the first year. Currently, 122 employees have joined the programme, with

the fund exceeding UAH 6 million. Anyone can apply to the university. Moreover, there is an opportunity to study under a scholarship from Metinvest.

During Open Day 2.0, graduates engaged directly with professors, current students, and alumni, learning more about the admission process, educational structure, and employment prospects. Students also heard stories from those already working at Metinvest enterprises who are simultaneously studying at the university to advance their careers.

Daniil TYMOSCHENKO, a Metinvest Polytechnic student, shared his experience:

"I enrolled at Metinvest Polytechnic to enhance my knowledge and gain fundamental, innovative skills in metallurgy because our company is actively developing. In a month, we will be traveling to Italy as part of my master's program to visit Danieli company."

The event also featured an interactive quiz covering education, engineering, and interesting facts about Metinvest Polytechnic This format allowed participants not only to learn more about the university but also to actively engage in the event. Winners received gifts – a pleasant conclusion to an information-packed day.

Open Day 2.0 represented another step toward providing Zaporizhzhia's youth with a clear understanding: modern education is not about postponing the future, but rather serving as its starting point. And at Metinvest Polytechnic, that start can happen today.
