Residents of seven communities received humanitarian aid from Metinvest

Metinvest Group has donated a batch of humanitarian aid to communities in Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovograd regions as part of its Saving Lives humanitarian initiative. NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for The Future" was in charge of coordinating and handling the logistics of the next tranche.

The packages of hygiene products and canned food were delivered last week. Currently, Metinvest provides help for single mothers and handicapped adults and children in seven communities: Lozuvatka, Gleiuvatka, Petrove, Karpivka, Shyroke, Grechani Pody and Novolativka.

"People are grateful because they already know that Metinvest has been supporting them since the beginning of the full-scale war. They have the opportunity to plan their lives, save their family budget and allocate money for other important purchases such as food, medicine, basic clothing, etc. We are grateful to our partners for not only continuing to implement community development projects together, but also for having a reliable rear in providing for vulnerable groups of people who currently live in the Petrove community," said Svitlana TYLYK, head of the Petrove village council.

This time, the communities of Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions received 3,500 hygiene kits and almost 16,000 canned foods.

"Since the beginning of the war, we have helped the Metinvest Group to provide humanitarian support to thousands of Ukrainians in difficult life circumstances. We have provided about 95,000 food packages with basic monthly sets per family. The list also includes medicines, baby food, flour, and cereals. The assistance geography is not limited to Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kirovohrad regions. As part of the Saving Lives project, we supported the Kherson and Donetsk regions and helped Odesa. In cooperation with Metinvest and other partners, we continue to equip shelters for temporarily displaced Ukrainians. We buy household appliances, bedding, and other essentials," said Olena LESHCHENKO, director of NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future”

It is worth reminding that Metinvest Group, NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for The Future" and local authorities of Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions have recently signed memoranda of cooperation. The main goal is to develop and support the communities where the families of the company's employees live and to help those Ukrainians who have temporarily lost their homes due to the Russian invasion.
