Metinvest's Assets in Kryvyi Rih Paid UAH 4.6 Billion in Taxes in 2023

Despite the full-scale war in Ukraine, Metinvest Group's assets in Kryvyi Rih remain a reliable pillar of the Ukrainian economy. Over the 12 months of last year, they paid UAH 4.6 billion in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels.

Northern, Central, Ingulets, and Yuzhnyi Iron Ore Enrichment Plants are among the largest taxpayers. The main source of budget revenues was the subsoil use tax, which amounted to just over UAH 2 billion. The treasury also received the unified social tax totalling almost UAH 953 million. The second largest revenue source was the personal income tax, which amounted UAH 837 million. These funds are needed to pay salaries to employees of Kryvyi Rih's utility companies, provide hospitals with the necessary equipment and medicines, and support the city. Environmental tax and land fees also contributed to the state and local budgets.

In addition, Metinvest remains one of the best and most responsible employers in Ukraine. The enterprises continue to help Kryvyi Rih and the communities of Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions, where the company's industrial sites are located. With their support, reconstruction work is underway in hospitals, universities, and modern shelters are being built in educational institutions.

In 2023, Metinvest Group, including associates and joint ventures, paid UAH 14.6 billion in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine. Since the onset of the full-scale war, Metinvest Group has spent UAH 4.8 billion to support Ukraine, of which over UAH 2.5 billion has been spent on the needs of the army as part of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front defence initiative.
