There is a school in Western Ukraine that opens its doors to children even in the middle of summer. It is a mystical school of magic Hogwarts, a fairytale children's camp tucked away in a scenic corner of the Carpathians. A part of Super Camp network, the facility welcomes children of Ukrainian defenders on a trip arranged with the support of Saving Lives humanitarian initiative.
Together with its partners, Metinvest has gifted a wellness holiday to 100 children of employees who gave their lives on the frontline, served, or are currently serving.
"I’ve dreamed of visiting Western Ukraine for a long time. I can already picture the beautiful landscapes of the Carpathians. I’m looking forward to all the exciting experiences Hogwarts will bring. This is my first big trip, so I believe it’s going to be amazing. Plus, I plan to make lots of new friends," said Valeria FARYNA, daughter of serviceman Vladyslav Faryna.
"I’m thrilled to have such a fantastic summer and this wonderful trip. It’s going to be a perfect reset for me right before the new school year. I can’t wait for the adventures to begin. Hogwarts, here I come!" said Anastasia POTAPENKO, daughter of veteran Serhiy Potapenko.
The parents, meanwhile, are confident that their children's holiday will be both fun and beneficial, and they’re sincerely grateful to the organizers for such a fantastic initiative. And they’re right – unlike regular schools, which are often associated with homework and boring lessons, the "Hogwarts" camp is a true fairy tale. Here, the kids will dive into a magical world, take part in thrilling quests, learn enchanting spells, and make new friends.
"For my son Stepan, this trip to Hogwarts is his first experience at camp, and he’s been eagerly waiting for it. He’s also been wanting to see Bukovel for a long time. I’m so grateful to Metinvest for the support and for giving my son the opportunity to go to the Carpathians, where he can relax, enjoy the beauty of the mountains, and have a fun and enriching experience," said Tetiana BORYS, wife of missing serviceman Andriy Borys.
Meanwhile, the magical camp has already welcomed the young travelers from Kamianske. Just like in the real Hogwarts, the Sorting Hat assigned the children to "houses," and each received their own magic wand. And soon, the true magic will begin, bringing unforgettable, magical memories to the kids during this beautiful holiday.
