Over one million packages with essential supplies prepared by Metinvest's Zaporizhstal-based humanitarian hub

Metinvest's humanitarian hub, which has been operating at Zaporizhstal since the outbreak of the full-scale war, continues to receive, sort and distribute humanitarian aid to people affected by hostilities.  Over the course of the humanitarian hub's operation, more than 1 million food and hygiene packages have been provided to Ukrainians.

The bulk of the aid - almost 800,000 food and hygiene packages was distributed as part of the Saving Lives humanitarian project, established by Metinvest in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. The humanitarian initiative brought together ten foundations and NGOs, as well as more than 250 donor companies from around the world. In addition, over 245,000 packages were prepared and distributed as part of the Saving Lives programme of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

"Our strength and resilience to wartime challenges lie in our unity and ability to promptly respond to public needs. Established at the beginning of the full-scale war, the humanitarian aid distribution centre based at Zaporizhstal has already sent more than one million packages with essential supplies to Ukrainians.  The hub will continue its activity as long as Ukrainians need such assistance", said Roman SLOBODIANIUK, General Director of Zaporizhstal.

More than 500 Zaporizhstal employees volunteered to prepare packages with essential supplies for IDPs, population of front-line cities and towns and other Ukrainians, as well as socially vulnerable groups. Over 3,000 vehicles deliver "life packages" to humanitarian aid distribution points in the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and other regions.

The packages contain essential foodstuffs, baby food, medicines, hygiene products, household items, and more.

As a reminder, employees of Metinvest Group's Zaporizhzhia companies also received food packages from the Saving Lives. Overall, more than 13,000 employees and their families, as well as veterans, received humanitarian aid from the company.
