To parents' work: An excursion for the employees' children was held at Central GOK

The Youth Union at Central GOK of Metinvest Group entertained the children of their colleagues at the enterprise. Little residents of Kryvyi Rih were shown how iron ore was mined in the Gleyuvatsky open pit and told interesting facts from the life of the iron ore enrichment plant, where their mums and dads work.

At the beginning of the excursion, the children visited the Museum of Labour Glory at Central GOK, where they heard and saw a lot of interesting things about the history and achievements of the plant, its professions, equipment and products. There, the children watched how a huge enterprise looks in miniature and had the opportunity to play with models of mining machines and railway transport.

And then, the most interesting thing was the visit of the very heart of the production life of Central GOK - the Gleyuvatsky open pit. The miners' children saw with their own eyes where the path of ore, and later metal and steel, begins. Stormy emotions were caused by huge mining equipment. Each child was able to play the role of a mining machine operator, touch the control levers and joysticks, and see how the workplace of mining professionals was arranged.

The mother of ten-year-old Kyrylo Myrnyi works as a power engineer for scheduled preventive repairs of a crushing plant, and at home, the boy often hears conversations about production. However, he visited the enterprise itself for the first time.

"It was my first time at my mum's work. I liked everything very much, especially the open pit, which looks like a huge pit. It was even a little scary because of how immense it was. During the excursion, I met new friends and we had a great time. I also want to visit the plant – it's very cool here," Kyrylo shared.

Fifteen-year-old Tatyana KASYAN also received pleasant impressions from the event: "My mum, Olga, has been working at Central GOK as a conveyor operator at a pelletizing plant for quite a long time and she likes it. And today I understood why. It's nice here and all the staff are very polite and nice. It was my first time in my career and all this impresses at first sight. Everything was perfectly organized. I am grateful to my mother's colleagues for the opportunity to go on such an excursion".

The adults who accompanied the children and the excursionists themselves were satisfied with the time spent together. As a result, the younger generation received vivid impressions, new friends and treats, and the activists of the youth organization of Central GOK of Metinvest received a positive charge for the implementation of new interesting ideas.
